We were on the road again today by
8:30am. A short ride saw us at the lookout that allows an uninterrupted view of
Florence.

After a short stop at the lookout we had
a 2hr drive to Maranello to view the Ferrari Museum. This was a highly anticipated
part of the trip.

The GTB that belonged to McQueen was
just beautiful. It had been so magnificently restored and it was Ferrari’s
answer to the E type Jaguar. It is a slightly deeper tone of red.

The show also included the latest in the
concept cars of the very near future.

The Ferrari shop had a lot of patronage,
even though it was very expensive. The F1 simulator also had a bit of a workout

(and crashing a lot!)
Soon it was all over. The boys had to
let go their racing red dreams and re-enter the world. Soon it was back on a
staid and steady old bus and leave behind the glory of “The Prancing
Horse”.
It was another 2 hours before we arrived
at the docks to transfer from land to water transport. Our bags were loaded
into the barge and we loaded ourselves into a water taxi for the trip to our
Hostel.

Once there some washing, resting, pool
playing and soccer on the TV watching took place.
